Placed at 1900 meters and built in 13 months you can pay a visit to the Hitler’s present for his 50th birthday. The place is call the eagle’s nest. it is a bit expensive to get there by bus (20 Euro per person round trip) but it really worth a visit especially if the weather is nice. From there you can hike around. The site close at 5 pm.. unfortunately.

For 22 euro per person you can get a room here, then the day after you may climb up either by bus or by walk (3 hours) to the Hitler’s tea house.

If you drive 150 Km south from Munich you will end up visiting the beginning of the Romantic road. This 19th century castle worth a visit.

Dachau’s Concentration camp. I guess everybody should at least visit one of those camps just to be aware how brutal was the WW2.
